The Formation Of Musica Juventutis

The club Musica Juventutis was founded in 1980 by Prof. OMR Dr. Norbert Brunner with the goal to find and foster young Austrian singers and musicians.

The very first event took place after a three-years long preparation on 9. November 1983 in the Schubert Saal of Wiener Konzerthaus – featuring Clemens Hagen, Gabrielle Lechner, Ghislaine Fleischmann and Norbert Frühwirth.

Many of today’s internationally recognized musical artists made their very first appearance with Musica Juventutis.

… As a young musician, I was the first to have the opportunity to perform in the Schubert Hall of the Wiener Konzerthaus and I still remember how excited and proud I was to do so…
Clemens Hagen – Cellist

About Us

Programme

With our individual program design, we give an insight into a unique and diverse world of music. Every season, Musica Juventutis presents composers and works which have never been performed before at Vienna Konzerthaus. At Musica Juventutis, aspiring young talents do not only present themselves, their instruments and their voices, but also deliver exciting insights into the world of music. With their own compositions as well as with well-known compositions.
Our concerts always take place in the beautiful and classy Schubert Hall. It wouldn’t be nearly as nice there if it weren’t filled with the finest music from time to time.
