Applications will be accepted from October 1 to October 31 2025.
The next selection play for concert season 2026/2027 takes place on Dec 1 and Dec 2 2024 between 9am – 12:30pm and 2pm – 6pm.
Conditions Of Participation
Code of competition for soloists
- You are a young Austrian musician
- Age limit for singers: 26 years
- Age limit for everyone else: 20 years
- Soloists who have already won once may only apply again as an ensemble.
Code of competition for ensembles
- You are an ensemble of three to eight persons
- You have been working together for at least two years before this applications and can proof it
- Only ensembles for which there is original literature can be considered
- Age limit at time of application: 26 years
- All ensemble members are currently enrolled at a university or conservatory of music in Austria
- 50% of the ensemble members posses the Austrian citizenship
- 1 piece or 1 movement must be played by heart. This piece or movement must be marked in the repertoire list.
Repertoire
6 compositions, preferably of different style epochs – amongst them single movements are possible as well.
